Client:Teryl Mullock Architect Ltd | The main living spaces in this 840 square foot mini-house merge with a beautiful clearing in the forest through full height glass walls. Utility rooms and a detached shed form a protective buffer from the adjacent road. A small garden courtyard on the east side is partially covered with a whimsical curved canopy. Rainwater is gathered in a two level pond on the south side, reflecting sunlight and sky into the main living space. The house is built to advanced sustainability standards with high insulation levels, a high performance fibreglass window system, radiant in-floor heating, and a heat recovery ventilation system.
